About Darya
Darya is a professional cellist and educator, actively performing with various orchestras and chamber ensembles across Ontario. As a soloist, she has featured in performances for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Toronto’s Mayor, the Attorney General, and the Minister of Finance. Her notable appearances include TEDx Women, Coca-Cola, Lamborghini, Shawn Mendes, Richard Clayderman, CNN, Rogers Centre, TIFF Bell Lightbox, and Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Darya offers cello lessons for beginners and experienced players of all ages and abilities. Her approach is flexible, tailored to meet each student’s unique needs. While the core of her teaching is rooted in the Suzuki repertoire, she incorporates pieces from various genres to enrich the learning experience. This diverse approach allows students to develop technique, theory, and musicianship through a broad range of music.
Lessons are available starting from age 6. For younger students, it’s important for a parent or caregiver to attend the lesson and take notes on how to practice at home.
