About Satyanarayana

I’m a Carnatic music teacher with over 35 years of experience in both vocal and keyboard training. Though I studied B.Com, my true passion has always been music, which led me to complete a 7-year Diploma in Carnatic Music. I’ve taught in schools and offered home tuitions, working closely with children to build a strong foundation in classical music. My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s pace. Whether it’s vocal or keyboard, I focus fully on the Carnatic method—starting from the basics and guiding them steadily through each stage of learning.

About the lesson

Each class is personalized to suit the student’s level and pace. Whether your child is just starting or looking to deepen their understanding, the focus is always on building a strong foundation in Carnatic music.

For vocal training, students will learn swaras, alankaras, geethams, varnams, and kritis, following a structured path using recommended books. Attention is given to sruti (pitch), laya (rhythm), pronunciation, and the meaning of each composition.

For Carnatic keyboard, students are taught to play using swaras and raga-based notation, carefully adapting compositions for the instrument. Classes include regular practice and clear explanations to help students grasp melody, tala, and composition structure.

I offer a supportive and encouraging environment, with an emphasis on discipline through gentle correction and daily practice. No shortcuts—only steady growth through commitment and love for the art
