About Cynthia
When the throat tightens during a high note, you are often just fighting against unnecessary tension in the neck and shoulders. Imagine the sound flowing effortlessly as you master breathing control and proper diction and articulation.
My lessons leverage 13 years of experience to ensure your voice remains healthy while you develop your unique tone and resonance. I guide you through warm-up exercises that prepare the vocal cords for the demands of the performance. We will focus on microphone technique for those preparing to sing in front of an audience for the first time. My degree in vocal performance means that we address the mechanics of sound with great precision and care.
I keep the atmosphere light so that even the most difficult technical hurdles feel like manageable steps forward. Watching a student gain confidence in their pitch control is one of the most rewarding parts of my day. Singing often feels like a secret language that connects us, even though it requires rigorous technical study to control. I use my Bachelor of Music to help teens and kids navigate everything from belting technique to simple head and chest voice transitions. Having guided 433 students, I know that stage fear management is just as vital as pitch control or vibrato control.
My sessions are culturally-aware and structured to meet you exactly where you are in your vocal journey. I provide a personalised song list built around each student's range to keep the repertoire engaging. Working with students of all ages brings me great joy in the studio.
