About Sharon
"Precision in syntax is often less important than the architectural logic sitting beneath the screen. I spent 13 years as a quant at investment banking where clean code was a survival requirement rather than an academic ideal. After 12 years of teaching, I now work as a FAANG data scientist to stay sharp in modern development environments. My PhD in Statistics from Stanford University allows me to bridge the gap between abstract math and C++, Java, and SQL performance.
You will find that I prioritize project-based learning to ensure that you actually understand the APIs and backend basics. I emphasize problem-solving on coding platforms to sharpen your algorithmic thinking.

"Slow progress usually indicates that you are rushing through the syntax without grasping the underlying system design. Technical interviews are a performance art that requires both speed and clear communication to navigate successfully. I provide mock technical interviews to simulate the pressure of job applications.
We will tackle algorithms using C++ or Java to ensure you understand the memory constraints of your solutions. Coding requires focus.
We will examine database schemas in SQL and connect them to your frontend via APIs. I do not believe in spoon-feeding answers during our time together. I prefer to guide you toward the solution so the logic becomes yours. Let me know if you would like to start with a project review."
