About Miah
I’m Miah, a first-year undergraduate student, studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Queen Mary University of London.
I’m going to be honest, as a native speaker and trilingual person, I want to teach Spanish because I genuinely enjoy helping others grow in confidence and ability.
From my previous experience as a private tutor for 14–16 year old students, as well as volunteering to support children with different levels of autism in physical activity sessions, I’ve seen first-hand how the right guidance and encouragement can completely transform a student’s mindset. Watching someone move from confusion to understanding is incredibly rewarding for me.

Here is the breakdown of how I teach:
1 - I will first evaluate your knowledge and determine your strengths and weaknesses by assessing you with some small tests (don’t be afraid It’s cool if you don’t know anything, that will change in a few weeks with me ;) )
2 - Then, I will create a personalised content checklist to complete within a given timeframe, in which I will be focusing on practice problem repetition (as I believe everything has a pattern which is actually quite simple to learn) and theory learning and understanding. Here, I tend to use lots of visuals and drawings, as well as several analogies for my students to help them absorb the content more easily (my last student went from failing foundation level GCSE combined science tests to getting into higher level and achieving a grade 7 - I am so proud of him!)
3 - Finally, just so that you know and I hope someone has told you this before, and if not, I’ll be your first - You can do it, you are NOT a lost cause, you can learn - Everyone can and I believe in you. Just try me and see how it goes, I will be really excited to help you xx.
