I love to teach! I am a Television, Film, Photographic, Bridal and Beauty Makeup Artist with 37 years of experience. 49-5 star reviews on takelessons.com that will not exist after 9/2024. As well as working directly in these industries I have taught News talent, physician broadcasters, actors, CEOs who are interviewed a great deal and Brides to do their own makeup. I also teach day and evening makeup to any woman who would like to learn to apply their own makeup perfectly & use brushes properly. A makeup bag clean-out (prep session) is included with a lesson even if it is online. This is a perfect way to enhance your natural looks and feel great! My work is incredibly rewarding. When I successfully teach someone it transforms them and gives them a sense of confidence & fulfillment. Many times these are women who have said " I'm not good at doing my makeup, so I only apply mascara & lip gloss". They feel empowered, whether they are doing a Zoom Business call, interviewing for a job or going out with friends. Show less

Perfect! I had the best experience with my makeup lesson with Wendy! I wanted to learn how to enhance my features without looking older or overdone, and that's exactly what I got.
The lesson was personalized, easy to follow, and focused on techniques that work for my face and skin type.
The before and after difference is amazing --my skin looks brighter, my eyes more defined, and everything feels polished but still natural. I loved all the very specific product recommendations Wendy made ahead of our lesson. She spent a lot of time preparing me for the lesson with very detailed instructions so I had everything I needed and was set up as well as possible .
When we were done applying make up I had time to ask questions and I felt confident and actually capable of recreating the look on my own. If you've watched all the YouTube videos and still can't do your own flattering everyday makeup, it's time for Wendy.

The first step in Wendy's process, well in advance of my actual lesson, was her thorough evaluation of the tools and products I had been using. She told me what to keep, what to toss, and recommended additions and replacements to support a more successful makeup application. Because she's not selling anything, this wasn't a sales push, as I might have gotten from someone working in a cosmetics department or as a brand representative.

Bonus: The things Wendy suggested actually cost less than what I was used to spending on makeup! Typically, spending less would have made me nervous, but I was able to do this with confidence, knowing I had the benefit of refined 'insider' product knowledge from someone who's been professionally beautifying brides, news anchors, celebrities and other clients from all walks of life, for decades.
