About Jen

I know firsthand how overwhelming nursing school can be. Between lectures, exams, clinical rotations, skills lab, care plans, and learning countless medications and disease processes, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly trying to catch up.

I was diagnosed with ADHD during my pre-nursing education, which pushed me to find different ways to study, retain information, and succeed on exams. I quickly learned that memorization alone wasn’t enough. Understanding why something happens, how it works, and how everything connects made a huge difference.

I’m a California licensed RN, a 2026 NCLEX passer, and a graduate of an accelerated nursing program. I’ve been tutoring since 2018, beginning with microbiology, and have experience working with students with different learning styles and learning disabilities.

I understand that what works for one student may not work for another. My goal is to help you build confidence, strengthen your understanding, and find study methods that actually work for you.

Whether you’re struggling academically, preparing for clinical, or feeling overwhelmed by nursing school, I’m here to help you succeed!

About the lesson

Nursing school isn’t just about passing exams. It’s about understanding what you’re learning and being able to apply it to real patients.

I offer individualized tutoring for all aspects of nursing education, including pharmacology, pathophysiology, fundamentals, med-surg, dosage calculations, care plans, clinical rotations, skills lab, simulation, exam preparation, and NCLEX-style questions.

My approach focuses on understanding rather than simply memorizing. We’ll break down complicated concepts, connect disease processes with medications and nursing interventions, and work through the clinical reasoning behind patient care.

Need help preparing for a skills checkoff, understanding a clinical assignment, organizing a care plan, or figuring out why you’re missing exam questions? We can work on that too!

As someone with ADHD, I understand that traditional studying methods don’t work for everyone. I use relatable examples, visual explanations, real-life clinical scenarios, and different approaches to help information finally click.

Every session is tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re preparing for an upcoming exam, practicing clinical skills, or trying to build a stronger foundation.

My goal is for you to leave each session understanding not only what the correct answer is, but WHY it’s correct and how to apply that knowledge with confidence.
