About Lauren
When I moved out of my childhood home, I swore to myself that I would dedicate my life to pursuing the things I am most passionate about and share it with others. This lead me to studying a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts which I graduated Cum Laude in 2018. During my third year of studies I tutored second year students in the fine art of printmaking. My passion for art drove me to pursue a short-lived career as an international flight attendant. While I loved working in the hospitality industry, I was driven to visit the plethora of art galleries and museums across the world! Indefinitely grounded as a result of Covid-19, I have been determined to hold my promise to myself and thus began to teach young students English as a Foreign Language online.

I believe that no matter the content, learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience. I therefore tailor the learning process to meet the needs and interests of my students - whether it begins with a more theoretical foundation, or we build upon practical and address theory later. I also believe that everyone has a unique style and artistic approach which should be nurtured and allowed to flourish in class. My lessons are structured towards individuals of any age group who are passionate about honing in their skills and developing their artistic identity. While I believe individual classes are the most beneficial, I also hold group lessons.

Details
The cost of materials is not included in the lesson rate.
Students are encouraged to obtain their own materials independently or, if they are uncertain as to what to purchase, I am willing to purchase the materials on behalf of the student provided I am allowed 48 hours notice of what is needed. Please note that I do not add any additional charges in this instance.
Bookings are to please be made at least 3 days in advance, and any cancellations should be made 24 hours in advance. No shows and last minute cancellations will be charged at 50% of the hourly rate.
