About Alex

I have an LPC and an LLM in International Legal Practice, and I have spent several years working across commercial law, company secretarial work and compliance. Since 2019, I have run my own consultancy supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs with practical legal and operational matters, giving me a strong understanding of how the law works in real business settings.

My experience allows me to explain legal concepts clearly and in a way that feels relevant and accessible. I’m patient, organised and supportive, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in their legal reasoning and academic skills. I teach exclusively online and work with learners at all levels, from those new to legal study to students preparing for university or professional assessments.

My aim is always to make the law feel manageable, logical and engaging, whatever your starting point.

About the lesson

I take a practical, structured and confidence-building approach to teaching law. My goal is always to make complex legal concepts feel clear, manageable and genuinely useful. Because of my background in commercial practice, I focus not only on helping students understand the law, but also on developing the analytical and problem-solving skills that legal study — and legal work — demand.

Teaching Techniques & Methodology
I break down topics into simple, logical steps so students can build understanding layer by layer.

Lessons are interactive: we work through examples, scenarios and problem questions together.

I use real-world commercial and compliance experience to show how legal principles operate in practice.

I tailor each session to the student’s goals — whether that’s exam preparation, coursework support, or strengthening general legal reasoning.

I encourage active learning: students explain concepts back to me, draft short answers, or apply rules to mini-case studies so they can see their progress in real time.

Typical Lesson Length
Most lessons are 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for students who prefer more in-depth support or structured exam practice.

Qualifications & Experience
I hold both the LPC and an LLM in International Legal Practice from the University of Law. Since 2019, I have run my own business providing commercial legal support to entrepreneurs and SMEs, and before that I worked as a trainee company secretary and later as a legal and compliance manager. This blend of academic training and hands-on commercial experience allows me to teach law in a way that is both academically rigorous and grounded in real practice.
