Hi, I’m Chen!
I'm a Business Intelligence Analyst currently working in the fintech industry with experience across finance, accounting, and data analytics.
I graduated from Monash University Malaysia with a degree in Accounting and have spent the past 6+ years working in fast-paced business environments, building dashboards, automation systems, and analytics solutions used for real operational and financial decision-making.
Unlike traditional computer science tutors, I entered the data field through a finance and business background, so I understand how overwhelming analytics and technical concepts can feel at the beginning. My goal is to make learning approachable, practical, and beginner-friendly, especially for students and working adults without prior technical experience.

My teaching approach is simple: learn REAL data analytics by doing. Lessons are hands-on and focused on practical business problems using tools such as Excel, SQL and Python rather than purely theoretical exercises.
Coming from a finance and accounting background instead of a traditional computer science pathway, I understand the challenges beginners and career switchers face when entering the data field. I focus on breaking technical concepts down into intuitive and approachable steps for students without prior technical experience.
With experience across corporate finance, accounting, business intelligence and fintech, I aim to provide a more holistic learning experience beyond just coding, focusing especially on how analytics is actually used in real business environments.
Lessons are typically 1 to 2 hours long and tailored to each student’s goals and experience level. Classes are suitable for university students, working professionals and complete beginners looking to begin their data analyst journey.
