About Kathryn
Connecting with a tutor can create some anxiety. Will this person understand what I need to learn? Can they match my communication style? Will my learning style mesh with their teaching style?
I firmly believe in allowing the student to set the tone and that all lessons should be conversations and not lectures.
In my current business I am in charge of managing every facet of the process, from sales and marketing to creating systems and processes. My journey in the business world began when I was about 7. I would assist my uncle with selling rare collectable items at convention center shows. I have owned a jewelry store, cleaning company, business coaching company, and a pet walking business (that is for my 16 year old son - he is learning, too!). Currently, I am a mortgage loan officer ranked in the Top 1% of the country for volume and number of clients served, and have been in that ranking for the last several years. I hold three degrees, including an MBA. My majors were business, accounting and finance.
I understand deeply how intimidating the business world can be, and how classroom concepts can seem fuzzy until you learn how to apply them in real life.
My goal on this platform is to inspire someone to connect with their full potential , and to build confidence in their ability to achieve any business dream they have.

I have mentored several people and have helped them grown their businesses significantly. I can teach at all levels, including undergrad.
A typical lesson involves setting an agenda and creating objectives in advance to maximize our time. One thing that is critical in business education is understanding the fundamentals.
The foundations of business apply to every single industry, entity type and scale. My goal is to take a concept a student needs help with and to break it down into smaller chunks using real-life examples.
