About Alan

I have over 25 years of experience in highly complex engineering and project environments. I have been an executive project director for several mega projects (>$1Bn) and worked internationally with the IAEA as a nuclear expert.

Over my career I have supported a number of technical and project colleagues in communicating effectively in English with key stakeholders, governments and managers.

I recognise the value of practising and developing your English skills in real world situations, helping you increase your impact and effectiveness at work

I help professionals in technical (energy/infrastructure/major projects) English environments speak clear high confidence English.

My background is in major projects and engineering; working at the most senior levels and with governments where communication really matters, I focus on real world, practical English. Lessons are tailored to your job and industry. I work on:-

Explaining technical or detailed topics clearly and effectively
Handling questions and difficult conversations
High stakes conversations with senior stakeholders, interviews
Improving clarity, structure and confidence
