About Sehn-Ra

My name is Sehn-Ra. I'm a UCLA-trained professional trumpeter with nearly a decade of performance experience and three years of dedicated teaching. I've had the privilege of performing at some of the most prestigious stages in the world, and now I bring that same standard of musicianship directly into my students' lessons. I specialize in working with middle school, high school, and college students — an exciting age where real musical identity starts to form — but I welcome students of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you're picking up the trumpet for the first time, preparing for a school audition, or looking to seriously advance your technique, I tailor every lesson to where you are and where you want to go.

The first lesson is free — so there's no risk, just music. Book your intro session and let's find out how far your playing can go. I respond to all inquiries within a few hours.

About the lesson

I take an individualized approach and meet students at their skill level and give them the necessary tools and guidance to reach their goals, so all are welcome.

First, we will start off with a FREE 30 min consultation meeting with me to see where you are currently. In our lessons, we cover tone production and breath control, embouchure development, scales, technique and range extension, music theory, sight-reading, performance preparation, and most importantly — how to develop your own voice on the instrument. I teach you how to actually sound like a musician, not just how to play notes. My ultimate goal is to see you succeed, enjoy music, and get you to a point where you no longer need my lessons.
