About Victoria
I am an experienced and dedicated piano tutor with over seven years of teaching experience, supporting students of varying ages and abilities. Many of my students have continued lessons with me for two to three years, reflecting my commitment to building long-term progress and meaningful teacher–student relationships.
Alongside teaching, I have performed in a variety of settings, including stage performances, school services, and hospital events. I have taught 11 students to date, helping them build strong foundations in technique, musical understanding, and confidence. Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet in a structured yet engaging format.
I am passionate about providing high-quality piano tuition at affordable rates. Having grown up receiving financial support for my own music education, I understand how transformative access to lessons can be. Thanks to scholarships and funding, I had the privilege of attending leading state schools in Central London, including studying A Level Music on scholarship at St Marylebone CE School. This experience inspires me to give back to the community and ensure that music education remains accessible to new learners.

I focus on developing essential musicianship skills such as:
Sight reading
Understanding chords and harmonic structure
Recognising melodic patterns
Technical development through classical repertoire
I strongly believe that classical music provides an excellent foundation for building technique, particularly through scale work, expressive phrasing, and textural awareness.
When introducing a new piece, I guide students through a comprehensive and thoughtful process. This may include:
Exploring the historical and musical context
Singing phrases before playing
Structured sight reading
Practising hands separately before combining
Starting from random sections of the score
Working across bar lines (for example, connecting beats 3–4 into the following bar’s beats 1–2)
This approach helps students truly understand the music rather than relying solely on repetition from the beginning.
My goal is for students to feel confident starting from any point in the score, strengthening both memory and musical awareness. I believe in breaking down every concept—no matter how simple—into clear, understandable components. We identify and name musical elements to improve sight reading and retention.
I often use creative comparisons, from everyday examples to mathematical concepts, to make learning engaging and memorable.
Above all, I strive to show students both the joy and the depth of piano playing. Lessons are dynamic, varied, and tailored to each individual, ensuring there is never a dull moment while maintaining clear structure and progress.
Recommendations
Recommendations are written by the tutor's friends, family, and acquaintances.
I met Victoria through our alma mater, KCL! She's very friendly and personable, and has a great sense of humour. She can give honest and helpful advice too, but her teaching style really shines because of her ability to show and demonstrate certain methods with clarity, rather than simply talk things through. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher!
Victoria is teaching my 11yo daughter for some time now. My daughter loves weekly sessions and she learns something new every time. Victoria is very friendly, patient teacher but also has great communication skills. Totally recommending her for everyone who is looking for a piano tutor
Victoria is a really nice teacher and I’ve learned a lot of dance moves and footwork. She is also very supportive, which makes a hard choreography easy to follow.
Very good at breaking down steps of choreographies, she made me feel comfortable quick in the first few lessons. She also gave great tips on how to improve my dancing.

I charge £30 per hour because I have completed my grade 5 theory and I have 6 distinctions and 2 merits in Piano ABRSM.
I am sensitive to my student's needs and abilities and use non-traditional techniques to keep classes engaging and fun.
