About Maya
I am currently a student veterinary nurse studying a BSc in Veterinary Nursing and Companion Animal Behaviour, with a strong academic background in Animal Management. I enjoy teaching as it allows me to share my knowledge and help others build confidence in subjects I am passionate about. Having recently studied these topics myself, I understand the challenges students face and aim to explain things in a clear, relatable way. I am particularly motivated to support students in achieving their goals and developing a deeper understanding of animal care and veterinary science.

My lessons are tailored to students studying BTEC Level 2 and 3 Animal Care/Animal Management, covering key topics from the specification such as animal biology, anatomy and physiology, health and disease, behaviour and welfare, and practical husbandry. I also provide focused support with coursework (CW), including assignment structure, understanding assessment criteria, and improving written answers to meet distinction-level standards. For anatomy and physiology, I break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations to support both exam revision and assignment work. Lessons are adapted to each student, whether they need help catching up on content, preparing for assessments, or improving confidence in their understanding.
