• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I developed an interest in the healthcare field as an 8 year old young girl when my cousin started developing complications due to being born with a hole in her heart ( ventricular septal defect). She was my age mate and I felt in my heart that I could do something to save her life and that was by going into healthcare. Three years later she lost her life and this left me devastated but even more determined to become a professional in healthcare and save other people's lives and give them a chance to live longer, something my cousin was not able to get. From then on I worked smart in school with this goal in mind.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  What makes me passionate about healthcare is the number of lives I have been able to change, the hope I have given to families and individuals. Saving one life at a time and lighting up someone's life with hope again certainly fuels my passion each and every waking day. Every success ignites my passion the more and each failure, though demoralising encourages me to pick my broken pieces and seek to become a better professional and prevent failures that are somehow preventable.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  There are a few things I like about tutoring and I will highlight the best ones. Tutoring gives me a unique opportunity to impact lives of students and position them for excellence and success in their careers. The implication of this is that with ever increasing demand for healthcare workers, I'm able to increase the workforce by training students and therefore contributing to an expanded workforce. Being able to help a student who is struggling and almost giving up and seeing them succeed is ultimately a very rewarding feeling and I love to see it. I'm able to add quality to their lives and boost the healthcare sector and in a way I'm satisfied knowing I'm helping increase the number of successful professionals getting into the field.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My role model is my highschool mathematics teacher Ms. Sakwa. Her thoughtful care to the needs of her students especially those who were not performing well, her diligence in teaching and burning midnight oil to mark our tests and return them very quickly for our revision was a great inspiration to me. I'm therefore able to extend the same helping hand to all my students needing help with their academics. She inspired to become a better professional and a compassionate and thoughtful tutor.

• What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are determination, hard work, being a problem solver,keeping a positive mindset, pushing myself beyond my limits and above all trusting in God the giver of life and wisdom and all good and perfect gifts.
