About Hannah
With a science degree from a Canadian university in Geography, GIS, and Geomatics, I am confident I can help you or your student meet their learning goals. My courses have focused on ecology, geomorphology, cartography, computer systems, academic writing and communications, English writing, northern studies, and climatology.
Outside of the academic world: I create digital and paper maps to stay in practice and on top of my skills, I work in an outdoor environment setting in my field practicing obtained skills, I have experience teaching young students in line with Ontario Curriculum, and am an avid fisher-woman and outdoors person!

Hi, I'm Hannah! My goal is to help you succeed beyond exams and course material, making you a confident individual in your field. I am comfortable teaching grade levels starting at the fourth grade up to undergraduate and college students. Here is an example lesson plan:
Topic: The topic you or your student are focusing on
Length: length of session or lesson
Discussion: interactive, discussion-based, problem-solving
Learning goals: here we look at your school board or course objectives for student learning and come up with a plan to meet your needs. This is an opportunity to go over expectations and understand the student's learning needs and accommodations.
Warm-up activity: could be a game, a quiz, a scenario, compare and contrast (versus game), review of the previous week.
Mini lesson discussing and introducing core concepts.
Main activity/lesson
Discussion and reflection: Gather level of understanding, discuss challenges, create goals for future lessons.
