My teaching approach is rooted in interactive learning and hands-on projects. I believe that the best way to learn about Generative AI is by building things yourself. My classes are structured around these core methods:
Project-Based Learning: We don't just talk about models; we build them. Students work on projects like creating a text-generating bot, a simple image generator, or a music composition tool.
Case Studies: We analyze real-world examples of Generative AI, from art and design to medicine and scientific research, to understand its impact and potential.
Simplified Explanations: I break down complex mathematical and algorithmic concepts into easy-to-understand analogies and visualizations. For example, explaining how a model learns to generate a new image by comparing it to how a human learns to draw by practicing over time.
Collaborative Sessions: Students work in pairs or small groups to solve problems, debug code, and brainstorm new ideas.
