About Soren
As a Saxophone tutor with 7 years of experience, I have successfully taught nearly 150 students across different skill levels. Teaching music is deeply fulfilling for me because I enjoy seeing students progress and achieve their goals.
My teaching approach is systematic and student-centred. I begin with foundational skills such as posture alignment, breath management, tone control, and finger accuracy. I gradually introduce advanced techniques including dynamics, phrasing, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I adapt lessons according to each student’s strengths and learning preferences. I use practical examples and real musical pieces to make lessons engaging and meaningful. I also emphasise consistent practice and goal setting.
One of my key strengths is helping students develop performance confidence and expressive playing. My aim is to guide students towards becoming confident and independent musicians.

My teaching approach for Saxophone focuses on building technical accuracy, musical understanding, and stage confidence through Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I personalise lessons according to each student’s learning speed and goals.
I teach breath management, tone consistency, articulation control, and rhythmic accuracy in a structured manner. I maintain open communication to ensure clarity and confidence. Accountability is encouraged through regular assessments, practice schedules, and progress tracking. I provide honest and detailed feedback to support continuous growth.
Integrity ensures dedication and professionalism in every lesson. In addition to Saxophone training, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Harmony studies, and Improvisation to help students become well-rounded and expressive musicians.
