About Rosh
With 7 years of piano teaching experience and nearly 300 students successfully guided, I provide lessons for high school students, college learners, and adults that focus on improving technical ability, musicality, and performance confidence.
My teaching philosophy combines structured instruction with encouragement, emphasising proper posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, chord transitions, rhythm, sight-reading, and expressive interpretation. Lessons are personalised to each student’s goals and learning style, balancing technical exercises, theory, and repertoire practice, with strategies for effective home practice to ensure consistent progress.
Many students have performed successfully in recitals, school concerts, and competitions, while others have earned high distinctions in graded examinations. My aim is to create an inspiring, supportive, and motivating learning environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

My approach to teaching piano combines structured guidance with personalised flexibility. I carefully assess each student’s current level and learning style before planning lessons. I emphasise the development of essential skills such as timing accuracy, coordination between hands, dynamic control, scale practice, and musical phrasing.
I also guide students in building consistent and effective practice habits that strengthen independence. If a concept is challenging, I adapt my explanation and provide supportive exercises to ensure clarity. Collaboration plays an important role in maintaining motivation; students actively participate in goal setting and repertoire selection.
I foster a positive learning atmosphere that builds confidence and reduces performance anxiety. Alongside piano instruction, I teach music theory, keyboard harmony, sight-reading, and beginner composition to help students gain deeper musical understanding.
