About Acchu
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 13 years of experience and a successful record of teaching around 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. I focus on helping students develop strong technical skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence while encouraging creativity and expressive playing.
My teaching philosophy emphasises proper posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, and interpretation, helping students build both technical mastery and emotional connection with music. Each lesson is carefully structured with warm-ups, technical exercises, theory, and repertoire practice, along with guidance for effective home practice.
Many students have performed confidently in recitals, competitions, and school programmes, while several have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations. My goal is to nurture confident, skilled, and expressive pianists who enjoy music and continue growing throughout their musical journey.

My piano teaching methodology is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when lessons are designed around their individual needs. I begin by understanding how each student learns best and what motivates them musically.
I focus on building a strong technical foundation, including correct posture, relaxed hand position, finger independence, scale fluency, rhythm control, and expressive interpretation.
I explain concepts clearly and demonstrate techniques step by step to ensure full understanding. When a student faces difficulty, I remain flexible and adjust the lesson approach, using different exercises or methods to support progress. Collaboration allows students to take ownership of their learning by setting personal goals and choosing inspiring repertoire.
I create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to improve. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, harmony, and music appreciation to support complete musical growth.
