Hi, I’m Daniel! I’m a Brazilian Portuguese teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching languages and a Master’s degree in TESOL.
My teaching approach is practical, communicative, and focused on helping students understand and use real Brazilian Portuguese. I adapt each lesson to the student’s goals, level, interests, and learning style. Instead of focusing only on memorizing grammar rules, I use conversation, comprehensible input, reading, listening, pronunciation practice, and real-life situations to help Portuguese become natural and meaningful.
A typical lesson may include a short conversation or review, new vocabulary and expressions in context, listening or reading activities, guided pronunciation practice, and opportunities to use Portuguese in realistic situations. I also explain grammar clearly when needed, without allowing complicated rules to take over the lesson.
What sets me apart is my extensive experience as both a language teacher and language learner. As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with professional training in language education, I understand how languages are acquired and how to make learning less intimidating and more effective.
My lessons are for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, including people learning Portuguese for travel, relationships, work, living in Brazil, conversation, pronunciation, or simply because they love Brazilian language and culture. Every lesson is personalized to help you make real progress and feel more confident using Portuguese.
