About Julia
I am a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker passionate about sharing my language and culture with others. Having moved to Australia and learned multiple languages myself, I understand the experience of discovering a new language and the importance of creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
I have experience supporting students with their academic learning and enjoy helping others build confidence, improve their communication skills, and achieve their goals. My lessons combine language development with cultural insights, allowing students to learn authentic Brazilian Portuguese in a welcoming and engaging way.
Whether you are starting from the beginning or looking to improve your fluency, I am committed to providing personalized lessons that make learning Portuguese enjoyable, practical, and meaningful.

My Portuguese lessons are personalised, engaging, and focused on building confidence in real-life communication. As a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker, I combine language learning with cultural immersion, introducing students to Brazilian traditions, expressions, music, and everyday conversation.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s goals, whether they are learning Portuguese for school, travel, work, or personal interest. My teaching methods include conversation practice, pronunciation activities, grammar support, and practical exercises to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Lessons are usually 60-120 minutes long and are suitable for beginners to advanced learners of all ages. With experience supporting students academically and as a multilingual learner myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and create a friendly, supportive environment where students can progress with confidence.
