About Rory
I am a musician raised in Aberdeenshire, living in Glasgow. I work as a multi-instrumentalist, educator, composer, songwriter and producer. I trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I graduated with a Bmus in composition. My practise is an interweaving of Celtic traditional music, European classical music and popular music rooted in cultures of the African Diasporas.
I am born to share, and for me teaching is about generosity. I teach because I need to share my gifts. I love music and I find fulfilment in this way of connecting with other people. Music helps me to feel good, to process my feelings, and it nourishes me to share in this with other people.

I love music, do you? So many people find playing music difficult because they been told they are not good enough. I believe there is no right or wrong way to make music. My purpose as a teacher is to listen to you. I am here to be responsive to what you want and need, helping you learn what you want to learn in the way you want to. I have a wealth of knowledge gleaned from decades of experience in learning, teaching, performing, writing and recording. I know how to connect, and I can share in this with you. Together we can learn to follow the inner intuition and enjoy playing music!
