About Sian
I am a qualified teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Coaching and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I have over 13 years of teaching experience, including 5 years teaching in the United Kingdom and 8 years teaching in the United Arab Emirates.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, abilities, and age groups. My experience includes tutoring English, supporting students with reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and spoken communication skills. Having taught in both British and American curriculum settings, I understand the different academic expectations and can tailor lessons to meet each student's needs and goals.
My teaching methodology is student-centered, engaging, and personalized. I believe that students learn best when they feel confident and supported, so I create lessons that are interactive, enjoyable, and adapted to individual learning styles. Whether a student is looking to improve conversational English, strengthen their grammar and writing skills, build vocabulary, or gain confidence in speaking, I develop lessons that help them make steady and measurable progress.
I have extensive experience working with English language learners and understand the challenges of learning and using English in both academic and everyday situations. My lessons focus on building confidence, improving communication skills, and developing a strong foundation in the English language.
