About Kahinee
I am an experienced violin tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional music experience, passionate about helping students reach their full potential as musicians and individuals. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering their first notes to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.
One of the most meaningful milestones in my career has been seeing students transform from hesitant beginners into confident performers capable of playing with technical skill, expression, and emotion.
My teaching emphasises developing strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also nurturing creativity, musical interpretation, and expressive performance. I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of music.
I personalise lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a patient, supportive, and inspiring environment where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow. Teaching violin allows me to nurture confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music in every student I teach.

I teach violin using a methodology centred on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to balance technical mastery with artistic expression. Lessons are tailored to the student’s goals, abilities, and learning style, combining structured practice, creative exercises, improvisation, and performance preparation.
Motivation drives engagement. I guide students to set realistic goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements, fostering confidence, perseverance, and a love for learning. Communication ensures lessons are collaborative and interactive, giving students a space to share challenges, ask questions, and explore musical ideas freely.
Creativity is a core component. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises allow students to develop their artistic voice and emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice, respect for learning, and commitment, building habits that ensure consistent growth and excellence.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, providing students with a holistic understanding of music. This methodology fosters technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and lifelong engagement.
