About Lin
With 7 years of professional experience and around 150 students mentored successfully, I am passionate about guiding learners towards musical excellence through flute training. My teaching approach is organised, interactive, and student-centred. I focus on essential techniques such as breath management, tone clarity, articulation control, finger agility, and rhythm accuracy.
Along with technical training, I introduce musical interpretation and expressive phrasing to enhance performance quality. I adapt my teaching style according to each student’s learning preference to ensure effective understanding. I regularly monitor progress and provide constructive feedback for steady improvement.
My unique strength lies in maintaining discipline while keeping lessons engaging and motivating. I strive to build not only skilled musicians but also confident individuals who enjoy expressing themselves through music.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises technical precision, expressive performance, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that each student learns differently, so I carefully adapt lessons to their unique style and pace.
I begin with fundamentals such as posture, breath support, embouchure formation, and tone production. Once students gain confidence in these areas, I introduce finger exercises, scales, articulation, and rhythm practice. Gradually, I guide students towards expressive playing, including dynamics, phrasing, and musical interpretation.
Alongside practical training, I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm understanding. This ensures students connect technical skill with a deeper understanding of music.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to the student’s goals, whether it is performance, exam preparation, or personal development. Collaboration is encouraged through repertoire selection and interactive discussions.
I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, learn from mistakes, and achieve steady growth. My goal is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive flute musicians.
