About Maribel

I am a committed piano tutor with 14 years of teaching and a strong track record of helping over 300 students build solid musical skills. I teach high school students, college learners, and adults who want to learn piano in a structured and enjoyable way. My teaching philosophy is based on understanding, clarity, and consistent practice. I take time to understand each student’s learning style and goals, which helps me create lessons that feel simple and effective. My aim is to make piano playing enjoyable while also helping students grow steadily. I teach key piano skills including technique, finger strength, posture, sight-reading, theory basics, scales, and expressive performance. I also guide students through different types of music so they can explore and find what they truly enjoy. Many of my students have achieved milestones such as performing in school events, completing exams, or mastering their favourite songs. I always encourage students to take small steps, stay consistent, and enjoy the music they create. I am committed to helping every learner build confidence and discover their own musical voice.

About the lesson

My Piano teaching approach combines communication, flexibility, and meaningful practice. I believe clear explanations and open discussions help students learn better. I also adjust my teaching based on whether the student learns visually, through listening, or through hands-on practice. This keeps the lessons effective and comfortable. Besides Piano, I offer lessons in Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight-Reading, Rhythm Skills, Chord Progressions, and Improvisation Basics. These subjects help students develop complete musical understanding. I use real-life music examples from songs and performances to show how each skill is used in real situations. I create a friendly environment where students feel safe to ask questions and try new things. My aim is to support them with structured lessons, practical exercises, and steady encouragement so they can enjoy their musical journey.
