About Joseph
I am a composer-performer currently based in London. After graduating from music school, I now work mainly in sound-design and composing for theatre, and have composed for various productions throughout London. I also operate across the UK playing theremin and musical saw. Alongside my creative career, I have had extensive experience working with a wide range of music students, from child to adult learners.

I take a flexible approach to teaching, constructing useful lesson structures tailored to the individual student. For exam focused tutoring I take a criteria-based approach to best help a student to achieve their goals. For students more interested in expanding their creative practice I take a more holistic approach, still tailoring to each student's need, but now working towards the goal of creative development. This can include exploration into new forms of music-making, introduction to non-standard instruments (theremin, musical saw, etc.) or new ways of listening and notating. Lessons may be 30mins or 1 hour, and I am experienced in ages 7+
