About Dustin

With 15 years of Guitar teaching experience, I enjoy helping college students explore music with curiosity and confidence. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and highly organized. I teach all essential skills: chords, rhythm patterns, fingerpicking, scales, transitions, expressive techniques, and simple theory.

I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind each skill so they learn more deeply. My signature method, “Practice with Purpose,” guides students through structured exercises that build real progress. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and simple songwriting.

I create a safe and motivating environment where every student feels valued. My aim is to help them become confident guitarists who enjoy playing music every day.

About the lesson

My guitar teaching methodology is clear, structured, and practical. I believe students learn best when lessons connect to real-life music. I use popular songs and everyday playing situations to explain guitar concepts.

Understanding is the base of my teaching. I make sure students learn tuning, chords, strumming, rhythm, and timing correctly. Lessons are adjusted to each student’s comfort level.
