About Akanksha
I’m a Mechanical Engineer who has built my career in a traditionally niche engineering space and experienced firsthand the limitations that can come with staying on a conventional mechanical engineering path.
Over time, I’ve learned that moving into a higher-paying career doesn’t necessarily mean abandoning everything you’ve learned as a mechanical engineer and starting from scratch. Your engineering knowledge, industry experience, and understanding of products and processes can become a strong foundation for opportunities in PLM, digital transformation, data, AI-enabled engineering, business analysis, and other technology-led roles.
That’s the perspective I bring to my mentoring.
I help mechanical engineers and early-career professionals understand how to leverage what they already know, identify the right skills to build, and transition toward higher-growth careers without wasting years starting over.
My advice is grounded in my own experience navigating engineering careers and making this shift myself — so I focus less on generic career advice and more on practical, realistic paths that connect your existing experience to where the industry is heading.

I help mechanical engineers move from traditional, often limited-growth engineering careers into higher-paying digital, AI-led and transformation-focused roles — without throwing away the experience they’ve already built.
I’m a Mechanical Engineer with industry experience in engineering, PLM and digital engineering, and I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be to build a high-growth career when your experience is concentrated in a niche area of mechanical engineering.
The good news is: you don’t necessarily need to start over.
Your mechanical engineering knowledge — understanding products, engineering processes, manufacturing, systems and how organizations actually work — can become a valuable foundation for careers in PLM, digital transformation, data/analytics, AI-enabled engineering, techno-functional roles and business analysis.
