About Sayma Islam

My name is Sayma Islam, and I am a passionate educator and final-year Biotechnology student at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah. With a strong academic background, Teaching Assistant experience, and IELTS Band 7 score, I enjoy helping students build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their academic goals through supportive and personalized learning.

About the lesson

My name is Sayma Islam, and I am a final-year Bachelor of Science student in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK). I provide personalized tutoring in IELTS preparation, English language skills, Biology, Chemistry, and General Science.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding each student's learning style, building strong concepts, and developing confidence through interactive and practical learning. I believe in explaining difficult topics in a simple way, using examples, discussions, practice exercises, and targeted feedback to help students improve.

For IELTS preparation, I support students with speaking practice, writing improvement, vocabulary development, grammar, reading strategies, and exam techniques. My goal is to help students understand the requirements of the exam and develop the skills needed to achieve their target scores.

For science subjects, I focus on concept-based learning rather than memorization. I help students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications and strengthen their problem-solving abilities.

Lessons are usually 60–90 minutes depending on the student's level, goals, and subject requirements. I am comfortable teaching students from school level to university level and adapting lessons according to individual needs.

I have experience supporting students academically as a Teaching Assistant at AURAK and have maintained a strong academic record with a CGPA of 3.97/4.00. I have also achieved an IELTS Band 7 score and study in a fully English-medium American-accredited university environment.

My lessons are suitable for students preparing for IELTS, improving English communication skills, or seeking support in Biology, Chemistry, and Science subjects.
