About Xinmei
Hi! I’m Sylvi, it's nice to meet you!
I'm an English tutor of 3 years specializing in spoken English, communication, and IB English Language & Literature. With 11 years of English-based education, 2 years of Chinese-to-English interpretation experience, and an IB score of 40+, I understand the challenges students face when learning and using English confidently.
My lessons are personalized and conversation-focused, helping students develop natural speaking skills for travel, studying abroad, and everyday communication. For Chinese-speaking students, I can also provide bilingual support and cross-cultural explanations to make English expressions easier to understand and use naturally.
For IB English students, I offer support with exam preparation, oral skills, essay writing, and literary/textual analysis. My goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where students can build confidence and make meaningful progress.
