About Joehana
My Parents are originally from Haiti and as they saw the advantage of being bilinguals, they sent my brother and I to aFrench academy in New jersey when we lived there back in the late seventies, early eighties.As a family,we headed back to Haiti and lived there for three years where my brothers and I attended private catholic schools. We were completely immersed in the culture of children doing their best at academics. Upon our return to the states, we kept up with French by speaking it to one another and writing letters from time to time to our extended family members.
