About Vinamrata

I am a native Hindi speaker, professional journalist, and experienced editor with more than 13 years of experience in journalism and content. I began my career at Navbharat Times, part of the Times of India Group, where I worked professionally in Hindi journalism for nearly five years before continuing my career in the United States.

My professional background has given me a strong command of both Hindi and English, along with a deep appreciation for clear, accurate, and effective communication. I understand Hindi not only as a native speaker, but as someone who has written, edited, and communicated professionally in the language.

As a tutor, I bring the same patience, preparation, attention to detail, and professionalism that I have developed throughout my editorial career. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes without hesitation, and gradually become more confident speaking, reading, and understanding Hindi.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching Hindi is practical, conversational, and tailored to each student’s goals. As a native Hindi speaker and former Hindi-language journalist, I combine everyday spoken Hindi with a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and professional written Hindi.

I begin by understanding each student’s current level and why they want to learn Hindi. A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary and pronunciation, a focused grammar or reading component, and exercises based on real-life situations. I also use Hindi news, stories, films, and everyday conversations to make lessons engaging and culturally relevant.

What sets me apart is my professional command of the language. I began my journalism career at Navbharat Times, one of India’s leading Hindi newspapers, before moving into English-language financial and technology journalism in the U.S. This allows me to teach not only how Hindi works, but also how native speakers actually communicate across casual, formal, and professional settings.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, including students who want to improve conversational Hindi, heritage speakers looking to strengthen reading and writing skills, professionals working with India, and advanced learners seeking greater fluency and confidence.
