About Karina
I am a certified 2nd grade teacher with experience creating engaging, supportive, and structured learning environments for young learners. I earned my degree from Appalachian State University, where I developed a strong foundation in child development, instructional strategies, and differentiated teaching practices.
I am committed to helping students build confidence and achieve academic success through clear, patient, and individualized instruction. My approach focuses on meeting each student at their level, identifying their strengths, and guiding them step by step toward mastery of key skills in reading, writing, math, and language development.

I am a dedicated and supportive tutor who uses a student-centered approach to help learners feel confident and successful. As a bilingual educator, I am able to support both English and Spanish-speaking students, making lessons accessible and comfortable for a wide range of learners.

I use a mix of guided practice, hands-on activities, and real-life examples to make learning meaningful and easy to understand. Each lesson ends with a short check for understanding or reflection to ensure the student feels confident before moving forward.
