About Violet
With 9 years of professional experience and around 150 students mentored successfully, I am passionate about helping learners achieve excellence in flute playing.
I teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced students using a structured and result-oriented approach. My lessons emphasise breath management, tone clarity, articulation techniques, finger agility, and rhythmic precision.
I also integrate scale practice and basic music theory to strengthen overall musicianship. I assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement to design customised lesson plans that ensure measurable progress.
One of my key strengths is motivating students to stay disciplined and consistent in their practice. I create a positive and engaging learning atmosphere where students feel confident to ask questions and refine their skills. My mission is to guide students towards becoming skilled and expressive flute performers.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on step-by-step technical mastery, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that building strong fundamentals is key to developing confident and expressive musicians.
Lessons begin with posture, breathing, embouchure formation, and tone control. Students then progress to finger exercises, scales, rhythm drills, and articulation practice. Advanced students explore expressive phrasing, dynamics, and stylistic interpretation, ensuring both technical skill and musicality.
Alongside practical flute training, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm understanding. This ensures that students connect theoretical knowledge with practical application for a complete musical education.
Flexibility allows me to tailor lessons to individual goals, whether exam preparation, performance readiness, or personal enrichment. Collaboration is encouraged through repertoire selection, feedback sessions, and interactive discussions.
I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel confident to experiment and improve. My goal is to cultivate disciplined, expressive, and confident flute musicians.
