About Lin
I am a committed flute tutor with 7 years of teaching experience and nearly 150 students successfully trained across all levels. I believe in building strong fundamentals that support long-term musical growth.
My lessons focus on breath control, posture correction, embouchure formation, tone development, articulation clarity, and finger coordination. I carefully guide students step by step so they gain confidence before moving to advanced techniques and performance pieces.
I create personalised lesson plans based on each student’s goals and pace to ensure consistent improvement. I also teach effective practice strategies that help students make steady progress outside class.
My unique strength lies in my patient teaching style and my ability to correct technical issues early with clear demonstrations. I maintain a supportive and disciplined environment where students feel motivated to grow. My goal is to develop confident, expressive, and technically strong flute musicians.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises holistic growth, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I aim to help students develop technical mastery, musical expression, and self-confidence in a supportive learning environment.
Lessons start with fundamentals such as posture, breath support, embouchure, tone production, and finger coordination. Step-by-step exercises in scales, articulation, rhythm, and dynamics gradually build both technical skill and musical expression.
Alongside practical lessons, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm comprehension to foster a well-rounded understanding of music. This approach allows students to connect theory with performance.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson content according to the student’s pace, goals, and level. Collaboration is encouraged through discussions, repertoire selection, and feedback sessions.
I maintain a positive, encouraging environment where students feel motivated to practise, learn, and grow. My aim is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive flute musicians with a lifelong passion for music.
