I use 4 main teaching styles:
-Visual (learning by seeing, charts, graphs, pictures, lesson outlines etc)
-Auditory (learning by read aloud, listening activities, verbal instructions, repeat to a friend etc)
-Read/Write (learning by books & texts, dictionaries, note taking etc)
-Kinesthetic (learning by doing, incorporating body movement, touch, see,feel etc
While these methods seem like they are for a younger target market, they work for everybody as not everybody learns or takes in information the same way.
My lessons are aimed at anybody above 12 who has a semi basic English understanding and specialize in reading, writing and comprehension of the language.
I teach in English, Afrikaans and Zulu.
