About Laura

I graduated with Honours from the University of Birmingham in 2016 and went on to complete my Foundation Year 1 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, followed by Foundation Year 2 at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. In 2018, I entered the West Suffolk General Practice Training Programme after achieving 6th place out of 3,639 applicants in the national Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment (MSRA). I went on to score 92% in the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and am now a practising General Practitioner based in Suffolk. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping up with my two energetic young boys.

About the lesson

I offer a tailored tutoring approach to meet your individual needs across all aspects of General Practice. Whether you're preparing for the AKT or seeking a deeper understanding of specific clinical topics, I can support your learning journey with structured and engaging sessions. My AKT preparation is comprehensive, addressing both core medical knowledge and exam technique. I also provide in-depth topic-based tutorials, ensuring clarity in complex areas and alignment with current clinical guidelines. To enhance your learning, I incorporate visual aids, PowerPoint presentations, and concise written revision materials. I take pride in being thorough and well-prepared, ensuring each session is informative, relevant, and up to date. Passionate about education and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes, I aim to support and motivate you through a clear, focused, and student-centred approach.
