About Nicholas
I’m a Berklee NYC Songwriting & Production graduate student with a longstanding foundation in music technology and creative audio work. I began piano at six and entered the world of DAWs in 2014, purchasing Ableton and teaching myself through constant experimentation, collaboration, and project-based learning. At Berklee, I majored in Electronic Production & Design, studying sound design, advanced synthesis, studio technology, acoustics, and Max programming, while working hands-on as audio crew - engineering shows, managing backline, and supporting real-world technical setups. My production background is shaped by a wide range of practical projects: creating original foley and surround sound work, producing multi-artist video projects, sound-designing for school productions, and teaching Ableton to young producers for four consecutive summers. I’ve worked extensively in Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, Max, iZotope tools, and a wide ecosystem of music and audio software. Across all of this, my focus has stayed on intentional production decision-making - shaping sounds, arranging elements, and building tracks where everything feels cohesive, musical, and aligned with the creative vision.

My teaching breaks down complex production concepts into simple, creative steps, with an emphasis on decision-making, workflow, and understanding how each element supports the overall feel and direction of a track.
Lessons start with a quick progress check, followed by one focused skill or concept, hands-on application in the student’s project, and clear takeaways on improving cohesion, sound selection, arrangement, or technique.
I help students think like artists - making intentional choices so every element of a song aligns, feels cohesive, and supports the artistic vision.
I've worked with beginner to advanced producers, songwriters, and artists seeking to improve workflow, sound selection, arrangement, or mixing - especially those wanting personalized guidance to make their music more polished, cohesive, and expressive.
