About Zoe
Sitting on my porch in Kentucky, I first learned to play by echoing the sounds of the hills. My teaching remains rooted in oral tradition where melodies are absorbed by ear rather than through dry text. I have spent 13 years guiding teens and absolute beginners through the intricacies of violin performance.
Tone production and left hand agility are my primary focuses. Success is inevitable. I enjoy helping grade exam candidates reach their goals. Let us start your musical path today.

Intonation often plagues the novice player who struggles to hear the true pitch. A single shift in hand position changes the entire resonance of the instrument. I utilize my BA in Folk Music to ground our work in authentic rhythm and timing.
Students will tackle bowing technique and orchestral playing alongside specific ear training exercises. My approach ensures that tuning by ear becomes second nature.
We address ABRSM and Trinity exam requirements with precision and care. You will find that shifting positions becomes effortless with consistent practice. Clear goals dictate our progress.
