About Addessa

Through the last several years, I have worked teaching everything from academics to activities of daily living. I have learned that everyone learns differently. Due to this, I am sure to remain observant and encourage feedback in order to tailor what teaching methods to use so that each individual’s needs are met. It is very important to me to make sure that learning is enjoyable! I am confident in my ability to maintain focused on completing a task, while finding ways to do so that’s enjoyable for the learner. I also reinforce appropriate engagement with lots of praise and encouraging statements. Earned tangible reinforcements are also used dependent on the learning environment once a skill is mastered. My favorite part of this process is having the opportunity to bear witness to the students progress as they continue to gain interest in learning, and master tasks which once may have felt too difficult. My goal is so help the learner to thrive and be proud of themselves as they do so!

About the lesson

Observation and feedback are taken into account when decided what teaching techniques would best work for the student. Each learner has different needs, therefore I prioritize individualizing sessions and tailoring my teaching strategies to each student. This allows me to aid the learner in meeting their goals while simultaneously making sure they are enjoying the session! My goal is to shape the student’s thoughts about learning until they independently show that they are eager to continue learning as we move forward, or as the learner moves on.
