About Violet
I have been teaching piano for over 9 years, and my journey with music has always been about more than just the notes on a page. With an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance, I bring both technical knowledge and artistic depth to my lessons. I believe that piano is not only a skill but also a powerful form of emotional expression. That’s why I guide students to connect personally with the music they play, whether it’s a classical sonata or a simple melody. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in technique and music theory. These elements give students the tools they need to grow confidently as pianists. At the same time, I encourage them to listen, feel, and interpret each piece with their own voice. I work with students at every level, from complete beginners to advanced players, tailoring lessons to their goals and learning styles. Performance, creativity, and discipline all play a role in my teaching. I enjoy preparing students for exams, recitals, and personal achievements, while making the process inspiring and enjoyable. Many of my students have found new confidence not only in music but in themselves. For me, the greatest reward is watching someone discover their passion and express it freely at the piano. My aim is always to nurture musicians who play with both skill and heart.

My teaching approach for piano lessons is designed to be flexible, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. I guide students from beginners to advanced levels by building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, and musical expression. A major part of my lessons involves music theory, which helps students understand harmony, chords, and progressions that bring pieces to life. I also support students preparing for formal exams like ABRSM, Rockschool, or A-Levels, ensuring they feel confident and ready. History of music is another part of my teaching, giving context to different styles and composers so students connect deeply with what they play. For students who love to create, I encourage composition, improvisation, and exploring personal musical ideas. This develops creativity while strengthening performance skills. My lessons cover a wide range of genres—classical, pop, jazz, funk, and soul—so students can discover and enjoy different sounds. I place strong focus on performance skills, stage confidence, and interpretation to make every piece expressive. For those aiming to excel in modern styles like pop and jazz, I provide clear methods to master improvisation and stylistic techniques. Each lesson is interactive, practical, and linked to the student’s personal taste and ambitions. I adjust my approach according to age, ability, and learning style, making the journey enjoyable as well as effective. Above all, I help students build not only skill but also a genuine passion for piano. My goal is to inspire lifelong musicians who can play with confidence, creativity, and heart.
