About Jessica

Hi! I'm Jessica a student who's happy to offer clarinet and saxophone lessons at a beginner to intermediate level.

I have an ATCL (level 4 diploma) in clarinet performance and have just completed A Level music (alongside a levels in maths, biology and chemistry) and is predicted an A*. Although I'm primarily a classical musician, I'm also working towards a grade 8 in jazz saxophone. I also played first clarinet in the National Youth Concert Band of Great Britain back in 2021 and was a finalist of Bexley Young Musician 2020 on clarinet.

Outside of clarinet and saxophone I have often assisted my music teacher in her lessons where I've taught students basic music theory and piano as well as giving feedback on group work,which they appreciated very much! I also ran my school's jazz band this year which I aimed to make as relaxed and run as possible whilst allowing other people to have an input and introducing jazz to people with little jazz experience.

About the lesson

Music is a great way to have fun as well as being an activity that is stimulating and rewarding! I want to ensure that learning clarinet or saxophone is a enjoyable experience through my lessons as well as ensuring that the fundamental skills are learnt to build good habits and a better playing experience.

I can offer lessons that are half an hour or one hour long.

As I will be moving out for university in late September/early October I would preferably teach online but I am happy to do a couple of in person lessons to get started if you are based around South East London
