About Mariah
Hi! I’m Mariah! I have been learning ASL for over 10 years and have a passion for making ASL accessible, welcoming, and confidence-building for beginners. I am ASL certified through Mohawk College, Emergency First Response ASL certified, and I am currently continuing my ASL studies at McMaster University.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive. I believe people learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes, so I create a judgment-free space where we learn at your pace. I focus on practical, real-life signing, repetition, and visual learning to help you build confidence and actually use ASL — not just memorize signs.
