About Ellen
Music captured my attention early through the challenge of fitting lyrics to a melody. I spent 13 years developing my craft and teaching 262 students how to organize their creative thoughts.
My work with beginners and gigging musicians centers on the reality that writing is a skill to be practiced. We look at chord progressions as the foundation for your storytelling rather than just background noise.
Aspiring artists and teens find that understanding harmony basics makes their writing feel more intentional. Motif and theme development help you maintain a thread through every verse and chorus.
