E ku ojo! (Good day!) I'm Zainab Yetunde Adebiyi, Your Yoruba Teacher. As a passionate and dedicated Yoruba teacher, I'm excited to share my love for the language and culture with students like you. Growing up as the daughter of a Yoruba teacher who taught the language for over 30 years, I was immersed in the beauty and richness of Yoruba from a young age. My Heritage: Watching my mother teach and inspire countless students to learn and appreciate Yoruba language and culture had a profound impact on me. I saw firsthand the joy and confidence that came from connecting with one's heritage, and I knew that I wanted to carry on this legacy. Why I Teach: I'm motivated to teach Yoruba because I want to share the gift that my mother gave me with others. I believe that language is a powerful tool for building connections and fostering understanding, and I'm committed to helping my students develop a deep appreciation for Yoruba language and culture.
