Bartlett MArch graduate and Populous Experiential Designer offers personalised architecture portfolio and university application tutoring

I got to know Andrei Bigan in May 2026, when he was teaching Visual Production and Portfolio Curation at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. He used his Master’s project to give us an example of how to develop a concept into a narrative and how to actually realize it. His project was creative and ambitious — he developed an environment that would actively adapt to human moods — and he basically broke his project down into the stages of development he went through, presenting it as the sort of problem-solving scenario we might find ourselves in. That felt relatable and very practical.

He was attentive, patient, had a pace that suited me, never boring but not too fast. He kept checking in with us throughout the lesson, asking us if we had questions multiple times. This first day was overall very useful in terms of idea development and storytelling through space.

On the second day, we expressed the need for simple steps for getting started with technical video production, so he guided us individually through starting our projects, so that we would have a first product by the end of the day.

I enjoyed working with Andrei a lot, and I'd consider him if I needed help from someone with craft, creativity, patience, and a focus on developing someone else's taste.
