About Dara
I have over 6 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I love working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons are relaxed and supportive, creating a low-pressure space where students feel safe to explore their voices. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help build healthy singing habits. Mindfulness is an important part of my teaching, encouraging students to connect deeply with their music. Tone development is another key area, helping each person find their unique sound. I enjoy teaching a variety of styles, including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. Singing, for me, is not just about technique—it’s a wonderful form of self-care and creativity. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence through their voice. Whether you’re starting fresh or picking up singing again, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s begin your singing journey together—no matter your age or experience.

My singing methodology focuses on enhancing musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression for advanced teens and group performers alike. I guide students to develop vocal flexibility through exercises that challenge range and dynamics. Confidence is built gradually by encouraging solo moments and group harmonies that highlight each singer’s strengths. For those performing in ensembles, adapting songs across genres becomes key. We explore styles from pop to jazz, ensuring smooth transitions and cohesive sound. I emphasize the importance of listening deeply to others while maintaining personal vocal clarity. Technology plays a big role in tracking progress. We use digital audio workstations (DAWs) to record rehearsals and performances for review. Vocal apps help fine-tune pitch and tone, while metronomes keep timing precise during practice. These tools provide immediate feedback and measurable growth. Through this method, singers learn to express emotions authentically and adapt to any musical setting with ease. It’s about blending skill with heart to create powerful, memorable performances. Together, we build not just technique, but artistry and stage presence.
